Quality and customer services has gone downhill
Last week i took 2 very expensive limited edition handbags ( 1,000.00 each ) for repair. i just got the email telling me that they could not repair them.
One bag is 3 years old and the edges cracked after a year . The other bag was replaced after a month because the edges starting splitting. The bag is a year old and received he same email.
When i called customer support they told me that there was nothing they could do about it.
She was very nasty and kept telling me that it was over a year old and that they would give me $40.00 to take them to a shoe repair store.

OMG, Coach Shoe Quality Has Plummeted!
10 years ago I bought the best pair of Coach shoes for about $99 bucks on sale. The fit and comfort level was astounding.
Speed up to November 2015, I just purchased a pair of Coach loafers and the Coach Patricia ankle booties and they both suck! My loafer is so wide on the sides that when I walk the sides bend and has an ugly gap and the back of the shoe slides off. The leather is very cheap, flimsy, and I see that Coach now has all of its items made in China "YIKES." The boot's leather does not have the same leather quality that Coach was known for years ago. The top of the boot feels like cardboard and the bottom of the shoes are no good.
I am returning these two Macy's and buying some Cole Hanns because I look at the shoe and tell that neither one will hold up for a month. Also, the sole od the shoes are no longer cushioned the the way they used to be.

Zan pumps
I purchased a pair of Zan pumps which I use only on flights as it has a comfortable 2.5 inch heel.
I have used this pump for maximum 5 times. The inner front lining started fraying on both sides of shoes. Because I bought it in 2014 I am screwed.
Even though Coach customer service gave me hope in running around in Manhattan to have the shoes evaluated, I have not been offered a replacement or option to have it fixed. The shoe is in excellent condition as confirmed by the salesperson at Coach. I took the shoe to a shoe cobbler who confirmed that the defect is the manufacturer's defect however it cannot be repaired.
Everything was explained to Coach.
Their customer service is useless.
Please be careful in any purchase of the Zan pumps.
I have other Coach pumps and purses, to date all seems in perfect order.

NO WARRANTY?!?!
I took a Coach wallet in for a zipper replacement and they said they are no longer supporting warranties, even on items that were purchased when they did have a warranty! ?They said this is their new policy as of 6 weeks ago. When I bought the wallet part of the deal was a warranty!
Why spend over a 100 dollars on a wallet, when you don't get a warranty, and a knockoff will do instead??
Wasn't their WHOLE THING that they make quality products that they stand behind? Is there no integrity anywhere any more? Coach without a warranty is so disappointing, sad and UNAMERICAN.
BOO!!! COACH!!! GOOD BYE FOREVER. YOU HAVE SOLD YOUR SOUL.

Stunned by comments
I was stunned by the negative comments r/t the decline in Coach quality.
Clearly something has changed. I'm getting ready to send three bags that I've had for at least 40 years. My over used Dinky is showing its age on the seam. My classic clutch has a worn stitching on the strap and my super over-used saddle bag has a broken zipper. My newer (25-30 years old) bags, totes and 2 wallets have aged beautifully and remain gorgeous.
It is sad that Coach seems to have lost their focus, a quality product.

Glad I came to this forum . Will not go any further asking about my coach purse, headed to the trash bin now.
I agree. I bought a pair of men's sneakers from Coach, and within 5 different times of wearing them, the sole started to come off like some cheap pair of tennis shoes that had been worn literally thousands of times. I spent the extra money for quality, and I got the opposite.
Poor quality & not worth the price...
So many "go-to" name brands are now "made in China". It's so disappointing.
Especially when they grew their brand by making a high quality product from high quality materials and made in Italy or in the USA.
I have a Coach bag from the 80's or early 90's. This was back when they used HEAVY brass hardware and zippers. And the leather was thick and soft.
They were hand stitched with heavy grade thread and made in the USA. They didn't have to hide the low grade leather they use today by lining the bag with some cheap satin lining that would tear within a year. These bags had the suede side of the leather as the interior. This bag looks as good today as it did when I bought it.
I don't mind paying a high price for a quality product.
But I'm not paying a high price for "made in China" low grade products with a label.
Research the items before you buy. And ask questions.
My one pair of coach sandals & I've don’t wear them often. The top is separated from the sole. It’s so disappointing as I was hoping for good quality for years of wear
