I purchased a gold Coach Purse for approx. 150.00. I have had the purse for almost a year. My daughters puppy chewed the strap on the purse and ruin the shoulder strap. Purse # F1276-F15067. I have contacted Coach and was told that they don't have straps for purchase for repair so my purse is pretty much junk now. I don't understand why such a big company with such expensive purses wouldn't have replacement straps for customers to purchase. I do know that Burberry does but Coach doesn't. This doesn't sit well with me. Do you have any suggestions or maybe you should start making things such as this available to customers so that they continue to purchase your products.

Thank you,

Kathy Hayward

I literally just purchased a ReLoved bag that was sent without the shoulder straps. Guess what?!

They said they have no straps to send me! Are you kidding me?? Customer service told me that i should send the bag back and โ€œmaybeโ€ they will be able to send straps back with the bag. Also, it was missing the bag tag that Rogue was advertised to have in the pic.

So disappointed.

This was my first Coach order. Canโ€™t believe this huge company doesnโ€™t have parts.

Hi just saw this, not sure what you have done, but I too had to purchase a replacement strap for my Coach bag and ran up against the same thing. I searched the web and found a site called Mautto.com (I do not work for them or will I receive any form of compensation for saying this) I purchased a strap...damm it's close.

I am happy with it and I am able to keep using my bag...site to me is hard to work, but customer service was and is super. I have a lot of Coach bags, but I am no longer purchasing them...but I am still using them.

Hope this leads you in a good direction. AAngione

Thanks for posting your experience. Normally I would say it is surprising, but as I read through these complaints, I am no longer surprised.

You have had the bag TWO YEARS. You have to expect it is going to wear at some point.

With the amount of money they charge for these purse they should hold up longer than two years. I have had some way cheaper purses hold up way better than a $300-400 coach purse. Sad the quality has really gone down on these bags...

I have the same problem--a nice coach purse and the strap has become worn (I have no dog, by the way--the strap wore out all by itself). I cannot understand why a company of the caliber of Coach would not provide replacement straps and for me, this is a deal-breaker--I will not purchase another Coach purse.

I am having the same problem with straps wearing out after less than 1 year. No pets.

No receipt. They say will cost $75 and take2 months to fix. They are removable straps.

Why cang they just sell replacement straps????? Pissed off

Same problem here

I won a Coach purse at an auction recently and much to my surprise, when I got it home there was no longer strap inside the purse!!! I don't like to carry a purse - I like a longer strap so that I can wear it crossbody.

I have NO idea where I can purchase a crossbody strap to fit this purse, so it is - for me - a piece of junk. Other high end purse companies will let you buy short or long straps - I simply don't understand this...

I am in the exact position love the bag but without the shoulder strap it is worthless to me. Note to ebay sellers don't sell a bag w/o the strap!

I have the same question... hoping someone would have answered this....

I agree, I need a cross body strap for my ivory Coach bag. Have been unable to find one anywhere.

Ladies, google replacement strap for wristlet. You will be surprise as to all of the choices.

these straps do not work. one part of the strap is attached to a zipper and the other is a leather on a circle on the bag itself.

All of the straps on Amazon, ebay, etc. DO NOT WORK on the Coach writslets.

Anonymous, your sarcasm is not appreciated. Coach straps are different.

Try eBay then, or Mercari. There are ways to get replacement straps.

If you want something in a pinch, any sort of strap will do. I don't think the first person was in the wrong, nor were they being sarcastic.

Coach was bought by another company some time ago and it is not the same. They used to do repairs and now they do not. They cut back on things like that.

On my experience, i bought a Coach shoulder bag at their boutique in L.A. I did not have any problems with it,till I found out it came with a longer detachable shoulder strap!!

they did not inform or give me the strap upon my purchase.

The sales rep probably stole it! Too bad She made too much money from me as My mom and I bought 5 bags from her!

Try Mautto.com

or look on ebay

You should be mad at yourself not Coach. Why would leave your purse where a dog can get ahold of it? I own many Coach handbags & would never leave it where it can be damaged
