Coach - Terrible Customer Service and Faulty Ordering System
Ordered a product from the Coach web site on the 1st of the month, a Thursday. By the 5th, it had not shipped and I saw no news of it being shipped.
So I contacted customer service. They informed me, a day later, that the item was back-ordered and that they were locating it from a store and would email me confirmation shortly. That same day, I get an email that my order was canceled. Flat, just canceled.
No apology. No offer for a similar item or discount whatsoever. How dumb can a company be customer service-wise? This cannot be a good way to keep customers.
Moreover, a few days later, I noticed the item was back in stock on the web site. So either they canceled it for no good reason, or they're continuing to let other people order it and planning to cancel on them too. Coach, really?
You can't provide better, personable customer service on a product that's already extremely overpriced? Not ever going to order from the brand again, that's for sure.

Coach Pros: Very dissapointed in coach.
Coach Cons: Being lied to.

I had a nearly identical experience. I called tonight and despite what the website says, the items are not in stock yet they are still showing as available on the website.
It is so frustrating! They have lost a lot of customers I'm sure.
I'm done with Coach (once they get around to replacing the gift card used for my original purchase in Nov.). HORRIBLE website shopping experience.
I'm sorry you are having the same trouble! I've checked the site intermittently, and they have so many items up that say 'Sold Out,' and probably more that are purchasable and will get canceled. Disgusting that Coach cares this little about their reputation.
